Antique Row 3000-3800 South Dixie Highway boasts the finest antiquing in Florida and arguably, some of the best in the country (Hudson, New York comes in a close second).  Over 40 antique and home design stores cover three blocks where both novices and amateurs can browse through rare and fascinating pieces and collections.  The local presence of Mediterranean architecture dictates demand for antique decoration, but collectors come far and wide to discover the gems of Antique Row.  A favorite among the LGBT community is James & Jeffrey Antiques, 3619 S. Belle and Maxwell's Hidden among the antique stores, this quaint teahouse and luncheonette would gladly host the Mad Hatter's tea party.  The desperate housewives of the Palm Beaches wear their cutest Alice in Wonderland party dresses for delectable lunches heavy on the caramelized onions but light on the pocketbook.  Alternatively, Belle and Maxwell's doubles as a lively coffee shop famous for homemade desserts (including the $10 sampler platter which gives you four different treats).  3700 S. Rhythm Cafe' Relaxed, funky, and eclectic the former drugstore cum-restaurant features and ever-changing menu to supplement customer favorites including the lemon-doused saganaki (flaming cheese) or the graham cracker-crusted chick in key lime sauce.  The red table cloth, terrazzo floors, original chandeliers, and kitsch tchotckes (including a feathered pink flamingo) give the restaurant distinction and flavor.
